Anderson/Lura Branding...

Here are a few pictures from this past weekend when we spent Saturday helping Robin & Glenn and Mitch and Karla Lura brand their cattle.

Jade drug calves to the fire on Tejano...(see Jory in the back ground holding on to the rope getting ready to hold down this calf!)...

Jory wrestled calves...

And when Jace wasn't helping wrestle...

he was dreaming of wrestling cattle...

We are going to brand our cattle in a couple weeks...I think we have some good helpers!

Jace - 4 months...

Jace was four month old on Saturday and it is hard to believe how quickly four months has went by.  He still is such a good baby.  He did have another ear infection this past month.  He loves to chew on his hands and more than anything loves to carry on a conversation.  (I would love to know what he really is thinking and telling us! ;)

He had a couple "firsts" on Saturday.

He attended his first branding...the Anderson/Lura branding in Carrington...

And he got his first ride on a horse...

2010 Calving Season

This year we put embroyo's in our cattle...it looks a little different out on the hillside with these little Hereford calves on Black Angus cows!

Spring Concert

The kids' elementary Spring Concert was held last Tuesday night, May 4th.  It was, like always, fabulous!  Our music teacher does such a great job with these kids and I always leave the concert thinking, THAT was my favorite.  This year Jory was to dress up as a farmer (wasn't too hard...all he needed to do was dress like he does every day...at least that is what his music teacher told me!) and Jade got to wear a poodle skirt.  Below are a few pictures from the concert!

TWINS!

No, not the Minnesota Twins, nor are WE having twins but my cousin Brittany and her husband David recently had twin girls, Kate and Macy, and are they ever precious!  Jace is two months older than these dolls and he looks like Hulk Hogan laying next to them!  I admire Brittany, she is supermom as she has another daughter that turned 1 on January 9th!  Yes, she is a busy mom!!!

Jory holding one of the twins...

Academic Challenge

The Midkota Mustangs competed in the Academic Challenge on April 27th in New Rockford.  Jade was part of the Midkota team.  There were some very, very difficult questions and our team did very well!  There were two 6th graders, two 5th graders and two 4th graders on our team.  We placed 4th out of 8 teams.  We Proud of you Jade...Way to go Mustangs!
